 Mom and Dad Save the World Mom and Dad Save the World Quote: Mom and Dad Save the World is a 1992 sci-fi adventure, family, romantic comedy film which stars Jon Lovitz, Teri Garr, Jeffrey Jones, Eric Idle, Thalmus Rasulala and other actors. Jon Lovitz plays Emperor Tod Spengo who is the cruel, silly and over-dramatic emperor of the planet named Spengo. Teri Garr plays Marge Nelson and Jeffrey Jones plays Dick Nelson, her husband. The original music score was composed by Jerry Goldsmith. Rasulala died shortly after completing his scenes, and the film is accordingly dedicated to his memory.

one of the weirdest most ridiculous movies ever made, but i can't seem to turn it off every time it's on. jon lovitz is hilarious. he plays a guy named "Tod" who rules a planet of morons. He wants to destroy earth but then he spots marge nelson, an earthwoman, while monitoring the planet and wants to marry her. so he zaps her and her husband to his planet. now, it's up to marge and dick to stop him from destroying earth. not oscar material by any means, but if you're up for killing some time (and some brain cells), check out this goofy little chestnut.
