 About Last Night...
About Last Night... Quote: About Last Night... is a 1986 American comedy-drama film. The film was directed by Edward Zwick, and stars Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, and James Belushi. It is based on the 1974 David Mamet play Sexual Perversity in Chicago.

[font=century gothic]I liked it. It's pretty much The Break-Up (Coincidence that both take place in Chicago? I doubt it.), except it's much more interesting, and a bit funnier (Both are dramadey's, but this is funnier). It's not the '80s classic people make it out to be, but it's a decent film with it's share of problems.
The first is that it's too long. It's about 110 minutes long. That's fine for a comedy (As long as it's good) and that's fine for a drama (Same applies). For a dramadey about relationships however, it gets a little too tedious. It takes it's sweet time setting up the downfall of the relationship between Lowe and Moore, but it spends all of 10 minutes when they're apart, and during that time we get a typical '80s "build something together" sequence (There are two in the film, and god bless Family Guy).
The second is for a dramedy, it's too heavy handed with the drama. It's funny in the beginning, it's somewhat funny towards the end, but in the 45 minutes in between, it's almost pure boredom.
That saying, I liked the relationships much better in this than say The Break Up. I also thought it was more realistic and funnier despite the 45 minute lull.
