Not Adam Sandler's best, but I do enjoy this movie a lot. Pretty hilarious at times. Jack Nicholson was great, too. B+

Jack Nicholson saves it pretty much. Otherwise it'd be one of Sandler's least funny movies.

Meh, I have said it before and I will say again. I am not a big fan of Adam Sandler as a comedian. While I find his movies more or less funny, it's usually not him himself who I find funny in them, but a nice set of supporting characters. Just like in this one. Jack Nicholson clearly steals the show, but John Turturro is another highlight. The contrieved ending could have been done better, but overall it was a nice and funny movie and better than many of Sandler's other efforts. The most interesting thing, though, is that I found this movie actually funnier than the same-year Bruce Almighty which stars my all-time favorite comedian - Jim Carrey.

Not particularly enjoyable to watch and it felt kind of like a cheap tv movie given two very good actors who didn't seem to be doing much apart from being relatively annoying.

Not actually that humourous; the direction gave it the wrong tone and the two leads didn't play off each other like the films marketing lead everyone to believe. It's probobly the weakest Sandler movie I've seen. But nontheless it's not going to be winning any late Razzies.

I agree with Michael! Mostly unfunny and one of Sandler's worst in my opinion. While the premise has potential for bigger laughs, the script is below average and the movie fails to entertain. D+

For a nice change, Sandler plays more of a straight man to Nicholsons riot as a wackjob. They had great chemistry together. In the end, its gets a little hokey once Nicholson takes his girl, but then it doesn't loose much steam. Heather Graham and John Turturo are awesome as well.

One of my least favorite Adam Sandler movies. I laughed maybe once or twice.
