 Let's Go to Prison
Let's Go to Prison Quote: Let's Go to Prison is an American comedy that was released in theatres November 17, 2006, starring Dax Shepard, Will Arnett and Chi McBride, and directed by Bob Odenkirk.
The movie was loosely based on the non-fiction book, You Are Going to Prison by Jim Hogshire.
Filming took place at the defunct Joliet Prison in Joliet, Illinois. The same prison is featured in the beginning of The Blues Brothers and the first season of the Fox show Prison Break.

It's not as bad as I imagined. Not that it's actually good, but it does manage to be funny once in a while. C

What a wretched little movie. From horrid attempts at making light of prison rape to a stupid ending, the film's a mess and I'm glad it tanked like it deserved.

LET'S GO TO PRISON - 7/10 ( B )
Very pleasant surprise! I thought it looked awful and offensive. It seemed like it would be really homophobic but thankfully it managed to be really tasteful in that respect and wasn't homophobic in the slightest. I really liked how it ended too, which is what ultimately brought my rating up to a B. I just liked the movie a bit more than a B- which is what I was thinking I'd rate it while watching it. Plus I have to give it a lot of credit for not going the homophobic route like you'd assume something like this would normally do.

The movie is nothing special by any means of the imagination, but it is a surprise. It's a surprise in that it's consistently funny and not too over the top. I'd recommend it as a rental.
