Re: Twilight (2008) I know I'll get some ridicule for this but Twilight kind of surprised me in the fact that I... kind of enjoyed it. There are some cheesy pieces of dialogue and it may run a bit long, but the story is fine enough. When it takes just the vampire side, it can be gripping and the romance side doesn't go all too cheesy. One scene that particularly makes the film is the baseball scene as it is filmed very well and helps start off the end of the film well. There really isn't any strong acting but none of the actors can be labeled as "bad". It will be interesting to see where the story goes from here but so far the start is fine. **1/2

Re: Twilight (2008) I enjoy this series.  I haven't and don't plan to read the novels, but I dig Pattinson and Stewart's screen chemistry. And I don't mind the romantic melodrama factor. In certain ways, it's more appealing than the forced, testosterone-heavy "badass" feel of blockbusters aimed at men. Re: Twilight (2008) Absolutely love this! Watched it again on Hulu this year and I love it more than I did when I was 13, it’s bullshit that people think these are chick flicks, they have action and vampires! This movie is genuinely amazing
