 Re: Never Let Me Go
A fantastic film. It deals with an alternative universe as real as our own at three points in three different decades with great depth of a three-way relationship. I was expecting something more on the nose sci-fi, but instead was treated to a much more subdued storytelling where the sci-fi element is just the underlying part making it all the more fascinating. Knightley, Garfield and Mulligan all shine in this pretty much all-star British film which includes class actors in the smaller roles as well. The film is lovely shot and scored, coming from music video director Romanek maybe not a surprise, he should really do more feature films as One Hour Photo was quite a gem too. A lot of credit should also go to Garland who delivers the groundwork with his screenplay, from great source material from Ishiguro. I always knew I must have missed some films from 2010, and this is easily one of that years and Britain's best.
