I really enjoyed the extension of Reilly's part. More time with that bit made it feel a little less random and utterly nonsensical than it does in the final cut (though it's obviously still random and nonsensical on the whole).

With viewers' enjoyment of the supersize cut, I think it totally comes down to how well that viewer enjoyed the surreal nature of the theatrical cut.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

Somewhat amusing. There were very few laughs and a lot of perplexed staring at the screen. The ending went a bit OTT with the Will Smith, Liam Neeson, Vince Vaughn and Kanye West cameos, and the ghost and minotaur inclusion, but before that it went along smoothly and there were some good scenes. Apart from everything featuring Kristen Wiig or Steve Carell (possibly the most unfunny duo in cinema history), the film was lightly entertaining, but it certainly will not sit in the memory for long.

The good stuff? Well, the racist stuff was the best part. It really needed more of it (hopefully more is included in the extended cut because I noticed that the trailer clips were not in the full feature). Paul Rudd was good, and of course, Will Ferrell. The film relies on Ferrell for a lot of it, so the grade below is mainly because of him.

Much like the first, it's just forgettable.
