Into the Blue definitely was not a great movie.
I was mildly entertained while watching it, but when it was over I could pick it apart far easier than I could say anything good about it. In particular, the entire last 20 minutes of the movie is so ridiculously unbelievable - even for a B grade action flick. I also believe that there was a couple times in the movie where Walker's character broke the record for holding his breath underwater. The scene where he is underwater for a bit, spots the plane in the distance (and looks at it for a few minutes), swims to it, then around the inside (casually looking around), then back out and up to the surface... that was amazing! I thought I was watching David Blaine for a bit.
Anyhow, there were a few twists and turns I didn't expect that kept things halfway interesting, and Jessica Alba was easy on the eyes. However, this is one movie I'll definitely forget I ever watched in a few months. So... I'll go with a D+ on this one.

The movie was an inofficial prequel to Aquaman: The Movie with Paul Walker being the lead.

 Re: Into the Blue
Well I watched this on Chinese TV last Summer and I really enjoyed it. It's got a good story, nice visuals and suspenseful action. I also dig movies that involve water, it always tips the balance for me, and this movie showcases the best of underwater tropical locations. It's very much a 'buried treasure' adventure with pirates, just modernized.
