Best movie in the series clearly because Doug Liman had not thing to do with it, I hated the first two movies but this seemed fresh, heartfelt and real.

He produced it.

producer means you don't direct. Identity is the worst in the series. I wonder why.

What made the second one bad? Not trying to be an asshole (Since I'm not the biggest fan of the series), just curious.

I actually really enjoyed it. Far, far, far better than the second film, which I really hated. The shaky-cam is still present and frustrating at times (particularly the big fight with in Tangiers), but not as bad as it was in the second, and the action scenes were breathtakingly well co-ordinated and structured (spent most of the opening Waterloo scene with my heart in my mouth).

I also liked that, in essence, the whole film is just a series of scenes where Bourne repeatedly outsmarts the CIA, which was immensely satisfying to watch.

My only problem with the film is that it's never exactly clear why Bourne's still going after answers. I thought the second film sort of wrapped the whole thing up for him.

A

On a par with the first, and officially Paul Greengrass's first good movie.

Right on par with the first two, making this series one of very few trilogies to keep a high level of quality through all three films. It's nearly impossible for me to pick a favourite, as all three are pretty similar and equally excellent, but this one certainly is an option. The action is even more intense and the story is a natural progression from Supremacy, but the film keeps the trademarks of the series and ties off a lot of the lingering plot points. While the trademarks are all there, I loved how the film updated and changed them to reflect the evolution of the character and the series. For me, the numerous references to minute plot details from the first two films made this series seem much more like a trilogy than most other film series. The acting was great, the story was gripping, the direction was superb, and the action was incredible. Pretty much a perfect summer blockbuster.

seriously...

the film was 25% flashbacks, 50% cell phone calls, and the rest, karate chops.

An improvment compared to the second one.

I give it an 8/10

Part 1 is also 8/10
Part 2 5.5/10

It's been so long since I've seen the other two, but I think it's safe to say this is my favorite of the series. Thought it was great.

This is the worst of the series. The first one is the best by far. The second and third are excellent too, about on par with each other. I have a soft spot for the second one because of Karl Urban's great role.

This is the best of the series and the trilogy very easily. It manages thrills and action very well. The ending even though good was expecting a bigger scope but it serves the story well in this case. The entire movie is so intense from start to end. Damon's turn is finally also powering over the script. It also winds up this story neatly.
