Just saw this. It was okay...not too effective though. It wasn't nearly as scary as it was gross, and the most of the "twist" at the end was predictable. The acting was definitely much better than in the first film though. It kind of felt a bit like Scary Movie 2 actually...a diverse group people who don't really know each other (some who are linked to the first film) locked up in a house where gross things happen. But Scary Movie 2 was gross and somewhat funny...this was just gross.

Oh...and this thing was LOADED with plot holes.

It's probably the most "fun" of the Saw films - as silly as that sounds - and I enjoy watching it. But there's more of an emphasis on the gore and the traps than the story, a downward spiral that continues throughout the series.

When the Saw films focus on the mystery and the characters, they're alright horror flicks. When they focus on the gore, they're the very definition of torture porn.

Easily the best of the series, hands down. The only one of them I'd actually call a 'good movie.' B+
