I liked it.
I remember how I used to find Amanda Bynes irritating with her shows on Nickelodeon, but I actually really enjoyed her here. Enjoyable fluff.

Well I kind of liked it. I did have some problems with the film though. The first is that Amanda Bynes doesn't look like a guy in the costume. Second, a lot of the comedy is it sitcom-ish. Third, the soccer game. I know I'm supposed to suspend disbelief long enough to believe Bynes is a guy through most of the film, but how is Viola still able to play in the soccer game even after she is found out? She doesn't go to that school, and she's technically not on the team, so how can she play?
Nitpicking aside, I still kind of liked it because it was somewhat funny. It's not a very good film, but it's nowhere near unwatchable.

Not as hilarious as some have said and doesn't break any new grounds, but it wasn't as embarassing as it could have been and I must admit I did laugh several times more throughout it than I actually expected to. I am still not a big Amanda Bynes fan, though. Didn't like her peformance a lot. There are, however, some fairly funny supporting characters.
