It was alright, but nothing really happened for the majority of the running time. Edward Burns and Debra Messing were great and delivered the only memorable performances. Selma Blair was miscast and pretty much spent most of the movie walking around with a sad, dejected look on her face. Patrick Wilson was alright but hardly a revelation - he did much better work in Little Children last year. It was a shame that Messing and Burns were pretty much relegated to the background, for their story was far more interesting than the romance between Wilson and Blair. Donal Logue was awful in a supporting role, but Elizabeth Reaser did a decent job and had a few funny moments. This was also overlong and by the end it became somewhat tedious. Anyways, it's just your average indie fare, and it's probably destined to have a brief run at art-house theaters before quickly being released on DVD a few months later.
