MadGez is killing it early on. Definitely the one to beat right now.

Yes, three good to great picks so far but I'm not sold on F4 and especially Minecraft which was a gamble. We'll see.

That will be Shack and I. Will contact Shack and we'll pick a replacement.

Mercy actually moved on 1/24, but since it seems no one noticed Shack and Stuffp have until 12am Wednesday April 2 to pick a replacement.

I believe The Strangers 2 has replaced Saw XI which should be a solid grosser.

After all, it was a straight swap by Lionsgate, and replacement picks are just meant to give you SOMETHING instead of nothing - they're not meant to give you an advantage to pick a newly scheduled blockbuster pick. But anyway, you know how I feel about it.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
Meh. Saw 11 was probably gonna make atleast like $50M, Strangers will be lucky to make $5M. With the $100M cap there's no risk of a Moana 2 situation happening. I think I have a good choice though. PMed flip to see if they like it.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
Another potential rule could be that the nearest (in terms of release date) available wide release to your departing pick is given to you as a replacement. Then it's more 'luck of the draw', and fairer, than being able to pick from every available pick for the entire year.
Just another for zwackerm to ponder for next year.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
Another rule should be that for replacements you cannot choose a movie that has already come out. I cannot think if this has happened before but it wasn't ruled out, but I think it should be. This is a prediction game.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
We discussed this, when you pick a film that has come out you are risking potential upside of something that hasn't come out, so I think it evens out.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
But the whole point of this game is that you are backing your predictive capability. Choosing a film that has already come out isn't in the spirit of the game.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
I agree with Algren here. You should only predict something that hasn't been released.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
Screamboat was released domestically on 4/2 but did not report grosses.
If no grosses are reported by the end of the year, the drafters can pick a replacement.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 1
Rev is going to be hard to beat now that Sinners is looking at $300m+ and Screamboat's replacement could net him $100m.
