 Re: The Muppets
I've never seen the Muppet Caper, but with that in mind:
1. Muppet Treasure Island 2. The Muppets 3. The Muppet Christmas Carol 4. The Muppet Movie 5. The Muppets Take Manhattan
(I'd give them all roughly the same grade, so the ranking is almost irrelevent)

 Re: The Muppets
Good songs, some good funny parts, overall solid if unspectacular. I think it tried a little too hard at times and it does feel like a whole different animal (No pun intended)
It's hard to rank these films as they all have their strengths, all get an A from me though. Muppet Caper is probably my favorite though

 Re: The Muppets
As a long-time Muppet fan, I had a great time. It had a pretty good balance of heart-tugging and self-aware humor, although I would have appreciated more of the self-awareness.
"But if you don't do the show, the movie is too short!"
(After an off-screen explosion) Fozzie: "Wow, that was a great effect! I didn't think we had it in the budget."
It actually probably could have done completely without the human characters, though, and just used Walter.
Oh, and I cracked up over the Barbershop Quartet version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Well, I guess it was really a Barbershop Trio plus Beeker.

Considering the raves, this was pretty lame. I did like it when Chris Cooper rapped though.

Well that was stupid. A real chore to sit through. The beyond amazing reviews are baffling.

I feel sorry for those who didn't like this. Sure, this Muppets installment isn't perfect, but it's worthless trying to pick out the flaws. If you didn't enjoy yourself while watching, then you may just be a lousy person to be around.

 Re: The Muppets
Well I love puppies . But this movie was boring and trying way too hard. I feel it's mostly for kids, and even they probably won't love it that much. The music wasn't very good either, so it's really obnoxious when there's another song every couple of minutes. I enjoy musicals, but I have to like the music. I really wanted to like this too. And to think I was trying so hard to convince my friend to see this theatrically with me but she wouldn't go because she thought it was a kids movie. Things definitely worked out for the best. I would have felt terrible if I'd succeeded in convincing her to see this. Phew.

There is more than a hint of desperation in the insistence that everyone must enjoy this reboot - - every bad review makes the cognitive dissonance more and more unbearable for the proponents of this misfire. The Muppets are great - - but The Muppets ain't the Muppets.

This is the only movie I've ever actually pretended to like in mixed company. I didn't wanna hate on the Muppets. Nobody does. But its so disappointing

 Re: The Muppets
Eh, I haven't seen an extensive amount of Muppets entertainment, but I really enjoyed this. Kept a fun, self-aware attitude through the whole film. Thought each character got to shine. Humans were funny too, especially Chris Cooper.

The Muppets
Kind of sweet, but ultimately shit. Segal is awesome in his own way and Adams is fuckable, but I have just never liked The Muppets Show.

As much as my faith was broken by this movie, the trailer for Muppets Most Wanted makes me a want to be a believer again!

 Re: The Muppets
The Muppets has a great soundtrack, lovely production, choreography and treats the characters we know and love with respect. It’s held back slightly by its cliche plot and a couple of jokes that don’t land though.
