 The Muppet Christmas Carol  Quote: The Muppet Christmas Carol is a 1992 American Christmas musical film directed by Brian Henson (in his feature directorial debut), adapted from the 1843 novella A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Although artistic license is taken to suit the aesthetic of the Muppets, the film otherwise follows Dickens' original story closely.

Re: The Muppet Christmas Carol The Muppets Christmas Carol doesn't rewrite the book on adaptations of this story, but the Muppets add a warmth and humor to the story, as well as solid musical numbers to make this a definitive adaptation.

Re: The Muppet Christmas Carol I love all things Ebenezer Scrooge, and this is a great adaption, the songs and humor are great, but I think what works best is that Michael only agreed to do it if he could play it straight and dark and it gives the film a really unique quality to it. I think this is not only a great Christmas movie, but easily top 3 muppet movies, which are all pretty great in their own way.
