Listenting to the making-of of the movie was almost painful. So apprently this movies is somewhere in the realm between Blade Runner and Se7en?! And that one dude who plays the always pissed off cop is like "Russell Crowe in his better times" or "Sean Penn"?! The hell?

In any case, the movie is a stylistically well-done, but plotwise messy bore. Despite its meager 84 minutes running time, it never really engaged me past the first 20 minutes. The concept is interesting and their take on vampires as well as the idea of putting the setting into a world parallell to ours is good...but the execution is simply terrible, as is the movie's main villain whose motives are just inane and hard to comprehend. Same goes for the movie's hero as well.

Some cool fights, the concept and the art direction kept the film from being terrible, but I can still hardly recommend it.
