Meh. Pretty bad. I had high hopes.

I am most likely alone on this one, but I enjoy the heck out of this film and find it rather rewatchable. It is stupid, but definitely stupid fun. Moreover, I'm one of those who can always enjoy Seann William Scott in a funny role.

I just hate movies that have the characters flip thru the air and spin like crazy, i find that very stupid. Just like The One, Romeo Must Die, Cradle 2 the Grave, pretty much every Jet Li movie.

Ugh don't laugh but on paper this had the potential to be a pretty kick ass peice of popcorn cinema....................STOP LAUGHING!!

Anyhoo, you had Chow and William Scott, two actors I genuinely enjoy and Kerry Fox looked damn.......foxy so was I a fool to expect high flying kung fu action? Clearly I was as instead of being pummelled by general fighty fighty slashy slashy stuff I instead had to endure my room being flooded with reims of exposition and goofy mythology and Chow doing sweet FA.

Surely its not hard film making people?? Nobody watches these types of films for psuedo-intellectual musings they demand action!, alas this film lacked and when it tried it felt very limp. Aaah well's might throw on Hard Boiled again, wash away those bad Chow memories.
