Post Team America may surprise
Team America seems to have a very good asvertising campaign. There are few who seem to have heard of it.

Plus there campaign seems to have 2 messages. Come out and see people get bashed while at the same time, the name carries a patriotic feeling about it.

I believe its a good combo right now and may actually open much larger than most people expect it to.

Big opening but bad legs. I see at least a 62% drop in the following week and a minimal saturday increase when it opens up. I wont be surprised if the move opens to more than 24 million. I think its legs will cut it short of 60 million. It will offend both sides of the people in the democratic and republican affliation thus cutting its repeat viewing

Hopefully reviews will be good enough to give it some kind of legs. I don't think the legs will be that great and prob a multiplier of like 2.5 but still a great opening of like 30-35 is what I think this could do.

It has a 60% on Rotten Tomatoes at the moment. It'll have mixed reviews, though I doubt it will matter.

True. People really just want to see puppets do kung-fu and have sex.

This movie will do either really well, or really bad. I see no middle ground.

Well, I finally got around to visit here...

I'm thinking Team America won't do fantastic. It's puppets. And R-rated. I don't know if people want to see a full-length movie with marionettes and no noticable actor names. I'm going low on this one...

Opening: $16.2

I'm thinking the same thing. Not so great legs.

My whole argument is that the crowd that will probably go watch this has not been catered to at all since Without a Paddle/Anchorman. And I really do feel this will be the crowd breaking out into theatres as well.

Damn, if Without a Paddle can make $50 million, Team America can make $500 million.

hm if it opens over 30m it should hit 100m easy thats a little over a 3.5 multiplyer which in this time of year is very possible 8) IMO I think its multiplyer will be over 4.0 I see great legs for the movie it looks like one you can watch in the theater more than once 8)

I think it'll do fairly well. Maybe 25/85 or something like that. Does anyone know what the production cost was?

I guess around $24 million opening, with a $65 million total.
