Sith presales are insane. Sinners should also have crazy strong hold. So it should be interesting on which movie wins the weekend. |

Really hope that Until Dawn does well, looks really cool. But it also looks nothing at all like the game which hasn't been a good omen for this genre. The game is more of a choose your own adventure type than a time loop. Maybe $10M? Probably closer to $8M. Accountant? I'm stil surprised there is a sequel, but it The Amateur can hit $15M than this should too. Sinners, Minecraft and Sith should all be close for #1. The prequels really haven't aged well for me, but for some kids those are Their Star Wars movies and it'll be just like the 1997 rereleases. |

Looks like a surprisingly strong weekend to finish off what has been a very strong month. Rewatched the prequels a couple of years back and Sith does hold up. Though mid 20s for the re-release is pretty crazy. I guess Gen Z tend to love the prequels so it may not be that shocking. Also blows my mind to think its been 20 years since Sith. That film was 7 years after the 1997 re-releases which were celebrating 20 years since the original SW. |

The Anakin arc is one for the ages including hundreds of years old books and plays, add in unique aesthetic and acting style that both feels updated from 1980s but nostalgic from 2020s perspective and they are deserving classics. The memes obviously went a long way. ![]() Until Dawn should've been bigger but this is the horror struggle period. |

I am expecting Sinners above 30m and so it should win. Accountant 2/Sith around 25m and Minecraft should be 20m+. King of Kings above 10m as well. Should be amazing for late April weekend. |

Why is Sith doing so well? What's unique about this release that is getting people out to see it as opposed to seeing it on DVD? I mean, a $25m weekend is not just "a few loyal fans showing up". |

I am expecting Mando movie to open HUGE as well. |

With 7m Monday, I am expecting 35m for Sinners this weekend. I looked at Accountant 2 data for the 1st time and it sucked big time. I hope walkups are better or its missing my earlier prediction. Sith is still steaming along. May be as high as high 20s OW. |

Sinners is looking at something unprecedented. what is the best 2nd weekend for a movie that opened at 40m+ and not in holidays. That record is done for sure. |

Double digits at least wouldn't be too bad. Sinners will not help it. |

63/53 for Until Dawn right now on tomatoes/meta. Not horrible. I was worried itd be in the red after how long their waited to drop the embargo. |

Post subject: | Re: April 25-27 Predictions |
Accountant 2 should get close to 3m in previews if you include takes from the early shows on Tax day. Probably low to mid 20s. Sith was frontloaded big time. 3.5m previews but I am expecting just low 20s at this point. Sinners to easily win the weekend. 40m+ for sure. |

Post subject: | Re: April 25-27 Predictions |
low double digits. Its caught in a crowded markets with 4 movies above 20m. Sinners friday is nuts. With good walkups its going to catch up to last friday(minus previews). That was Good Friday. It could increase this weekend !!!! |
