So Freaky Friday 2 is a go with Lohan and Curtis returning. Lindsay's about to have a baby so maybe at the earliest they can get this out in 2025? How will it do? On the one hand feels like people want Lohan to be successful again in the same vein as people wanted Britney to comeback. On the other, Lohan hasn't had a hit in a long time and Curtis was part of the EEAAO ensemble so hard to tell how much audiences will go and pay to see it. Lohan only has 3 movies that have made $33M+ but they all were fairly iconic for that generation (Parent Trap, Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, her biggest). Most importantly, if this does happen to do well, I do think it makes the path to an eventual Mean Girls 2 happen eventually though Fey holds the cards there. Mean Girls where the original cast are the parents now seems like such a gimme. Wonder if Tina is just waiting for the right time/offer or just is stubbornly refusing to do it. Maybe she wants the entire cast to be in their 40s? |

This is exciting. Freaky Friday was great. Ever since I re-watched it like a year ago I've been wanting a sequel. I'd forgotten just how delightful it was. Curtis should have gotten an Oscar nomination for it. I know a few people who have wanted a sequel with Lohan and Curtis. This better be a theatrical release. |

Would probably fail to gross in total what the first did OW. There is potential for a solid sequel though |
