Re: Wonder Woman 1984 Box Office thread
$3M 3rd weekend -45%. $32.6M total, about $4M away from The Croods (which is only down 18%) and $20M from Tenet.

Doesn't seem like it'll go over 170m WW. Tragic but given the circumstances oh well.
They really need to serve with the third installment.

Might it have a second wind when they take it off Max in a few weeks?

Seems unfair to hold the whole state to LA’s zero percent icu capacity standard. Cuomo opened NY state theaters before NYC theaters, and the mayor of Philly always opens things a few weeks later in the city than in the rest of PA.

To open theaters we have to be at less than 7 cases per 100k for 2 weeks in a row, current rate is well over 50.

Many districts are finding that many in their Group 1a and 1b's (first ones eligible for the vaccine) are not getting innoculated due to concerns over the safety of the vaccine. This might slow down recovery...well into the second half of the year.

I am signed up to get my vaccine as part of group 1B as early as the end of the month, more likely early February.

With a mutated, more contagious strain emerging in places, will the current vaccine be effective against it?

They have said that the only difference between the mutated strain and original is the contagiousness, and the vaccine should still work

Re: Wonder Woman 1984 Box Office thread
WW1984 lost first place to something called The Marksmen, but it did stablize, only down 13%. Looks like it has a decent chance of passing Tenet now.
The Croods rose another 13%, so it also has a decent chance of passing Tenet.

It'll be interesting to see WW's drop after being taken off HBO Max.
WW is at $141.7m.

The Croods rose another 13%, so it also has a decent chance of passing Tenet. That’s the 4-day. The 3-day is a roughly 30% drop with a boosted Sun, definitely not stabilized and 0% chance of passing Tenet or even Croods.
