Re: Friday Number - LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Only $100,000 higher than Black & Blue's opening day despite being in 1,400 more theaters. Yeesh. At least Sony kept costs down, and they have Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood next weekend.
Is this gonna even reach $60 million? Is it even gonna manage a 2 multiplier? This movie deserved better tbh, but I guess that's what happens when you attempt too many reboots, it warps the whole thing beyond repair.

Re: Friday Number - LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Hell yeah. And it managed an A+ Cinemascore, which is wild for a live-action film without an urban/faith-based audience. It might single-handedly save adult-aimed movies at Fox.

Ford v Ferrari doing 30m is really good though. Should hit 100m+.

A+ in Cinemascore for FvF. Awesome sign for its legs.

2.3?!?!?! You have got to be FUCKING kidding me! What a disaster, poor KStew, really hope she isn’t too affected by this and same with Elizabeth and the rest of the cast

Great for FvF. Every reaction I’ve seen is very positive so it should cruise to $100M and a best picture nomination.

Re: Friday Number - LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I think FvF will have great legs. Maybe even reach a 4 or 5x multiplier since it does have an A+ Cinemascore. Movies like this need to rake in as much money as possible and with their not being too much adult oriented competition right now the field is pretty much wide open for it. Awful for CA though, but it really isn't all that surprising IMO.

Yeah it's not that surprising for Charlie's Angels but it is too bad. What a disaster.
FVF did fantastic. Will be very leggy.

Re: Friday Number - LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
It's weird they made a Charlie's Angels film where the most fine person by far is the director (I understand she does have a lot of screentime as Bosley though)

The Good Liar made $1.635m Friday. Underwhelming. It should hit $5m OW and $16m total.

It kind of throws off the dynamic when the premise has lost a lot of its novelty as it is.

Re: Friday Number - LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
One of the most disappointing OWs I've ever seen. Seemed unthinkable when the film was first announced, it's still a well-known brand name. I guess Sony never had that much confidence with a budget in the 50s, I assumed it would have a $100m+ budget like the 2000s films.

Shack wrote: Underwater comes out in 2 months so hopefully jforest stays around to keep stanning Kristen Haha not to worry! I’ll definitely be around and go see it, too bad the budget is so high. Hell I didn’t even like Charlie as much as I thought I would but Elizabeth Banks directed and marketed the damn movie herself and Kristen and the rest of the cast really did well so it’s a damn shame this is bombing so hard.

Re: Friday Number - LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Ford v Ferrari opening with ~$30m is great on so many levels.
Not only is it a well reviewed drama but it's a saviour for Fox (hopefully) releasing adult films under the Disney banner.
It's also a non sequel, spinoff or remake thriving in a world where everyone complains about Hollywood not producing original films any more but dont turn up when they do. The fact that it has triumphed over tired re-treads (CA and T6) is sweet ray of hope.
The A+ CinemaScore in addition to awards buzz and great reviews will ensure a gross over $100m.

Not happy with Charlie’s Angels direction. Not surprised it failed. A segment of Twitter probably loved it though so it has that going for it.

What a bummer. And the cast has been doing press like crazy. Surprised Naomi couldn't at least get a few mil people interested.
