it appears there was some boost bcos of Yom kippur. Today its losing 14% of shows at AMC including imax and some dolby. So drop today will be lost worse than normal thursday but it should recover on friday. 300m is definitely on.

So a $50M second weekend is surely happening now right? I could also see it coming slightly under, but a 55% drop is still looking like the worse case scenario.

Even IT2 wednesday is ahead of monday. So 20%+ drop today will happen for sure.

it should have a good drop but its losing tons of Imax/PLF(almost 3/4 at AMC) that will impact its weekend hold. But I definitely see 50m 2nd weekend.

Logically about 50% sounds right but when films hit the mark with the culture they tend to throw box office rules out the window.

I still think the weekdays for this will be much stronger than weekends. But a sub-50% drop looks likely now.

you realize this is fall right. I dont see that being possible at all despite movies for adults holding better than kid flicks.

I mentioned yesterday that I believe its holds are because of the spillover effect due to security concerns, but I could be wrong and the movie is genuinely a WoM sensation (it has the ingredients). I am yet not convinced its going to hold this well throughout its run but if it does continue to hold well past this coming weekend then I would join these insane $300m+ clubs. Personally I don't see why the buzz is so big on this but then again shittier movies than this have made big money at BO.

its a juggernaut at this point. 8.3m thursday despite PS being way lower and losing most of Imax/PLF. 55m+ 2nd weekend is happening. Friday PS(at AMC/Cinemark) is up 130%. Plus without so many Imax/PLF the BO to PS ratio will be higher as well.
