Will Brad Pitt in space keep the September hot streak going? I say yes! Ad Astra - $31M Downton Abbey - $12M Rambo - $9M The other two are difficult to predict. I watch a lot of action movies and have seen the Rambo trailer 0 times. And the few ads show during NFL have sold it as a cookie-cutter “my dead family” type of movie. Seems like there’s no hype, and the Rambo crowd is usually pretty loud. Downton ... I know the show is popular but it’s a soap opera that I assume most people binge-watch. Will those people need to rush out or be fine waiting 3 months for a Netflix release? |

FYI - Downton Abbey had the equivalent of a $30m (North America) OW here in OZ. I take it the show is more popular here but that bodes well for $15-$20m in North America IMO. |

So I'm going to see Ad Astra tomorrow night, no expectation and then Grace says "it's one of the greatest movies of all time!" MMkay. I'm gonna keep myself checked. |
