August 13 - 18 predictions
The Angry Birds 2 - 3,500 Good Boys - 3,000+ 47 Meters Down: Uncaged - 2,500+ Where'd You Go Bernadette - 2,300 Blinded By the Light - 2,000+
Not sure about Good Boys. Think years ago this could've been an easy 25m+ opener but unfortunately this era isn't that kind to comedies.
Angry Birds 2 - 33 (6-day) Good Boys - 15 Where'd You Go Bernadette - 8 47 Meters Down - 7 Blinded By the Light - 5
Holdovers should be interesting. TLK, Dora, H&S and Scary Stories could all gross 8-12m for the weekend.

Re: August 13 - 18 predictions
Good Boys might be #1. A Tuesday opening for Angry Birds will deflate the weekend number quite a bit. And family movie sequels tend to disappoint anyway. It's not like first is beloved. But this one does have great reviews which will help.

Re: August 13 - 18 predictions
I think AB2 will be #1 with around $20M 3-day, but with light weekdays preceding it for only $30M 6-day.
Good Boys should make around $15M. The trailer has always gotten a great reaction but so did Booksmart’s. At least this has a lot more money going into the marketing.

I'm hoping AB2 will break out, since the reviews are great. But who knows what the 3-day will be.

Box Office Mojo has a 3,600+ estimate for 47 Meters Down. Was initially 2,500.

Good Boys screenings tonight in my area seem to be doing really good.

Good to see a decent sized original breakout. A 70m gross is possible.

But that opened at the very end of July so it had more summer weekdays left.
