Presales for today are great. I see several sellouts or close to sellouts in several cities. At Arclight Hollywood it has sold out or almost sold out 4 70mm shows(968 seats) and overall sold > 6000 tickets already. I expect weekend trend to go up and up. |

Yeah both preview shows were near sell outs at my theater last night so I figured it'd land around $6M. I'll go $15M for Friday, $17M for Sat and $13M Sunday for a ~$51M weekend. Would love to see it push $25M 'opening' day though, and feel its possible. |

I think it may miss 50m but still very good obviously. It's about as empty of a marketplace as you could ask for. Good news for Hobbs. |

I'm so exhausted from movies underperforming this year, but $50+ million OW sounds good from that number. This has tumbled quite a bit over the last few days, hasn't it? Tenth biggest non-holiday Monday to the 28th biggest non-opening Thursday, below Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory. I don't see how it avoids a 50%+ drop for the weekend, might even fall over 55%. There's a non-zero chance that OUATIH ends up #1 today if it over-performs, which would have sounded literally impossible just a few days ago (again, like 1.2% chance, but it's not zero). |

Deadline's early Friday numbers TLK - $23m (-70%) / $77m-$78.5m OUATIH - $16.5m / $40m SM:FFH - <> / $11m-$12m TS4 - <> / $9m (-43%) Crawl - <> / $3.3m (-43%) |

That would be crazy frontloaded for Hollywood. I would be astonished if it missed $50 mil for the weekend, $40 mil would be unthinkable. |

Let's wait for proper numbers. I could see Hollywood falling just under 50m due to demand for the latest QT but not 40m. Saturday and Sunday business should be brisk. |

Tarantino is prime for late showing numbers, no surprise at the low projection. I think it'll be closer to 48-52 for the weekend. |

RTH says $17M for both. Pretty frontloaded for Hollywood but holy shit frontloaded for Lion King if thats true. It’s looking at a 70% weekend drop. |

I was predicting low 30s but I really want to be wrong. Hollywood is only encouraged to make original films when they succeed. |
