That's a great PTA for The Farewell and The Art of Self-Defense did okay in expansion.

The Lion King could be underestimated by millions.

Avengers took the WW title too.

Pretty good weekend overall. Toys story is still outpacing the 3 with a 13 million lead. Aladdin will crack 1 billion afterall

Finally a strong weekend that outpaces previous years.

TLK will do TI2 numbers as expected. Pretty huge since it had to overcome the "remake" stigma.

Hopefully Spidey can get to $400m (but I'd be happy with $375m).

$185M is a good number. Any less would be disappointing since this is Disney's most beloved story, but any more would be too much since it is basically just a CGI remake.

Crawl's hold is OK. The Shallows had a ~47% drop but that was during 4th of July and Shark week.

Needs 3.1 multiplier to get to 600m. Seems doable.

That’s way too much for Lion King. Can only hope it’s front loaded. If only there were school in session or a lot of competition coming up. :tears:

Being underestimated by $6 mil doesn't scream frontloaded to me.

It pisses me off that a work of art like Midsommar flops and limps to $25m but the latest Blumhouse horror trash automatically does that amount in its first three days. Audiences have no taste.
