2,787,965,087 AVATAR
2,713,201,784 AVENGERS ENDGAME
0,074,763,303 TO GO

Endgame did 7.813 with a 55% drop and was doing 1.1-1.8 for the dailies that week so I'm just guessing it's only gonna add another 5.9 million for the whole week and some small number internationally as it sheds theatres. Avatar is looking pretty powerful at this point.

The foreign estimate was 8,874,024 for the weekend

How much did Avatar make without the re-release?

Without the re-release it should have made $2,754,754,243 based on BOM as its re-release made $33,210,844 with $22,469,358 OS and $10,741,486 domestic

OK thanks.

We'll see if it can break the original Avatar gross without the re-release. I think it can.

Looks like EG just stalled this week with about $8m from last update or maybe just the weekend (I am not tracking its weekday updates). From $722m last week/update to $730m by this weekend. It might not reach $2.754b (Avatar's original release WW total) as well at this rate and I do think MIB will result in another big drop in OS markets.

Even with a re-release I don't see EG gets to Avatar's $2b OS total. Would be wonderful to have three separate movies ruling different records.

The Force Awakens - domestic, Avatar - OS and Endgame - WW

Strangest release to see such a dominating OW break and then slow crawl now.

So... they're rereleasing this supposedly with after credits scene. Yeesh.

Would be embarassing if it still doesn't beat Avatar lol

Ugh, I was hoping they wouldn't do this.

This will always be a separate re-release in my eyes and if it "beats" Avatar's unadj. WW, it will have an asterisk next to it.

Avatar also made $33m WW from its re-release and I thought without this re-release Endgame could have easily pushed past that $7.55b WW mark. If Disney re-releases this earlier it might be out of theaters faster than it is now.

Expanding Endgame for its extended footage showings cost Disney a whopping $1.918 billion in overseas revenue, dropping it 71 spots on the all-time worldwide chart. I hope the Marvel fans are satisfied with the new footage, because Disney execs are likely jumping out their windows right now.

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $841,318,161 99.8%
+ Foreign: $1,920,000 0.2%
= Worldwide: $843,238,161

72 Avengers: Endgame BV $843.2 $841.3 99.8% $1.9 0.2% 2019

Lol i just saw that

It's gonna be tough getting to Avatar lol. They should've just let the film die, if it doesn't beat it with this rerelease then that's super embarassing.

Surely it can make-up that $16m globally??

Another $5m domestically and $11m overseas couldnt be that difficult.

Is it keeping the damn 2000 theaters yet another weekend

Overseas money is dried up but if they just leave it languishing in theaters it should get there eventually

It's only $7.2 million behind now compared to $16 million last week. It's definitely going to beat Avatar at this point.

I was about to say "I hope Fox re-releases Avatar just to spite Disney" but then I remembered Disney now owns Fox.

Trump, please do something useful for once and break up the Disney empire.

Well if any film was gonna beat it then endgame was a worthy champion.

I really wanted a Star Wars film to do it. Sadly TFA couldn't do it.

Well it will still end up quite a bit under $3B, but the WW crown should definitely go down.

Why exactly? You know Avatar had a re-release as well.
