Halloween must have helped Countdown. 34% drop for it is great.

Yeah it wasn’t up much Friday, but I guess some of the boost had yet to go.

It should beat all the DC films in the $325-$335m range (Aquaman, BvS, SS)

Yeah Joker's run thus far have been insane, the character has good amount of draw with the audience. No wonder Batman has been the most successful superhero of all time at US BO.

Just realized Joker is now Robert De Niro's #1 movie of all time beating Meet the Fockers.

Just to keep reiterating, Joker's domestic hold is very good, it pales in comparison to OS holds. Plus it has beaten Endgame is few markets and will probably beat Endgame in Spain. Biggest Solo SH movies in several markets as well. Even in India where there was no dubbed version, its going to end up as highest grossing movie ever released just in English.

5% drop in France
10% drop in Germany
30% drop in UK,
20% drop in Japan,
6% increase in Spain
13% increase in Italy

28% drop in Brazil
40% drop in Australia
43% drop in Mexico

While there is no China release, it has 9.2 rating at Douban with 58K ratings which is out of the world. Had it released there it would have pulled in at least a Venom.

A lot of the horror movies that open before Halloween surprisingly tend to hold up decently after. At least for a week or two.

Ouija: https://m.the-numbers.com/movie/Ouija-(2014)#tab=summary

The Grudge: https://m.the-numbers.com/movie/Grudge-The#tab=summary

Happy Death Day: https://m.the-numbers.com/movie/Happy-Death-Day#tab=summary

Just depends on the competition. I know with Ouija it was a bunch of R rated movies coming out after so it was one of the only PG-13 options for those not old enough to buy tickets to R movies. Countdown holding so well this weekend is thanks to nothing new appealing to teens. Even so the 34% drop is much better than most horror movies see the weekend after Halloween. Usually the ones holding well drop in the 40's.

Unfortunately Netflix doesn't report that.

it barely released in few indies that do not even have reserved seats. So unless Netflix reports it you will never know. Anyway it will be a inconsequential number.

I read Irishman did 350k in 8 theaters, but I think that might be bull shit. I counted at least 50 theaters across the country playing it this weekend.
