About 20% drop same as RO and these are early estimates from which it generally drops.

Will be interesting to see how Jumanji did today.

Jumanji should have over 175m after New Years Day. Biggest obstacle for it for 250m is Paddington. If that takes all the post holiday family demo, it may drop hard.

TLJ goal heading into the 4-day weekend is 80m. If it can hit that mark and be close to 550m by the end of Monday, it should be able to top Titanic and secure its spot in top 3 of all time.

Paddington is definitely competition, but I don't see it as major competition. I mean I'm sure it will do well, but Jumanji is pretty much set to dominate until Black Panther IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of this week $300M starts to become a real possibility depending on the increase of course.

Glad Murder is doing well, reaching $100m. WOM and decent marketing will enable a film to find an audience amidst everything else.

Ferdinand increased 3% and took in $4,134,425 on Wednesday. Coco decreased 4% for $2,650,002.

And kick start an Agatha Christie/Poroit universe! They have already anounced Death on the Nike is next.

I sense a sizable drop in gross for the sequel. I don't believe the first was at all rapturously received. People were intrigued by the novelty: the large cast, the recognizable title, a thriller for adults, etc. It made money. But still.

I agree the sequel to Agatha Christie universe will decrease unless they hit home run with the next

To say that Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is doing fantastic right now is an understatement. It should be at $180M by NYE.
Even with Paddington 2, I still am confident it gross $250M+ domestically with $300m not impossible. It won't have the same legs as Night at the Museum (because its a reboot/sequel) but it's $36m+ ahead of it and it will be tough to fall below $250m at this point.

PP3 is doing very well in dailies. Assuming it grosses $20 million this weekend and another $6 tonight, it would need a 2.7 multiplier to get to $100m domestically. That shouldn't be hard for it. Not a bad gross considering its disappointing opening.

TGS is a big shocker to me. After flopping in its first weekend, it rebounded with good dailies even though its numbers are still modest. Its run reminds of We Bought a Zoo but it will gross a little more with its final total projected at $80-85m. Had it not been for its big budget, it would have been a solid hit.

They're not wasting time in marketing it either. They already have promotional t-shirts.
