I don't think the aspects that made IT successful (an adaptation done right, one starring kids, clown) will resonate as profoundly.

I think the trailer is just as good as the last one (which was amazing). That's rare for a hit horror franchise.

Horror sequels don’t necessarily do that well, and it made over 300m, which is massive for horror. Odds are it drops.

I wonder how much, if at all, better it would have done had it been a direct sequel with just the kids. King would have been upset, but he hates all of his good adaptations.
