$4.5m Thursday for Baywatch. Ouch - it could miss $20m for the 3-day. Sales in my area tonight look bleak.

Pirates Preview TBA.

Pirates needs at least 3.5m for 20m OD.

Too lazy to edit it in a few minutes. Went with the TBA.

While I'm sure they'd prefer to see it succeed, Paramount will just chalk Baywatch up as another failed leftover from the previous regime. They couldn't even produce a trailer with a single laugh in it.

It shows that audiences won't see The Rock in absolutely anything. Good payday but something to ignore on his resume`.

Pirates - 5.5m

Meh for sure.

Disastrous for Baywatch. And Pirates 5 may have a tough time breaking $70M over the 4-day.

MAYBE $60 mil 3-day for Pirates with that Thursday number. YIKES.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (7/7/06) - $9 million (2,100/$4,285) (midnight only)

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - $3 million (Had 8:00 Thursday showings totally $13.2M)

To put things in perspective. How the mighty have fallen.

Just like last week when people were talking about aliens doing 50 million off of that week late night number they're going to be people over predicting Pirates off of it weak late-night number. I'm still thinking real 65mil for the 4day. 70 if it's lucky.

I agree. I see low 20's as the target for today. I'm going with a $70m 4-day at the moment.

That seems reasonable for Pirates. It was never going to match OST's opening. It will do low to mid 20m OD with that, and that's fine.

I would not hit the panic button on PotC yet. It never seemed like it had the hype to do big preview numbers. It might pull in enough families and walk-ins during the weekend for a good overall number.

Pretty awful start for Baywatch and just meh for Pirates. I have a feeling this is going play out a lot like last week with Alien: Covenant where the sequel does significantly less than the predecessor even though the last movie came out at a time where previews didn't exist.

Well Prometheus had midnights.

It looks like Pirates V will make about $25m Friday including previews and $70m over 4-day.

If it does 25m Friday, it's more likely to hit 70 in 3 days than in 4. The film won't drop much if at all on Saturday due to low hype and family appeal, and the Sunday drop will be low too.

Not impressed by Pirates number and Baywatch didn't do terrible given the previews, it won't do big numbers for sure.
