Re: GOTG 2 Previews + Thursday Numbers Mockingjay headed to $120 mil OW with around that. Beauty/Iron Man 3 headed to $170 mil OW. And Furious 7 headed to $150 mil.

Re: GOTG 2 Previews + Thursday Numbers My projection is 132m. No way Friday+Previews will be more than 3x previews. After all previews started at 7PM in large number of screens. How much more can it gross on a May Friday morning to 7PM(when capacity in peak hours were not utilized).
I would say
Friday - 52m
Sat - 46m( Big increase)
Sun - 34m

Re: GOTG 2 Previews + Thursday Numbers Solid for GOTG 2, but it will probably go sub $150M with that number unless it's really backloaded. I'm with RT that a $60M OD is a good target and anything over that would be great IMO.

Re: GOTG 2 Previews + Thursday Numbers I think it's unlikely to be as frontloaded to previews as Avengers 2 or Civil War, and would consider Mockingjay's OD of $55M to be about where it lands (MJ 1's previews started at 8PM, but that was more frontloaded than this is likely to be).

Well I know this is a meh opening. Can't fool me Disney. I'm not sure why, but hype for this just dropped off a cliff after trailer 3. Perhaps the Planet Hulk trailer was too good and had people thinking too far ahead. Shows how beloved the first is that G2 even made it this high.
