This will do pretty well. Good release date and I believe the title is a winner. Some have declared Rogen to be on the decline but I don't believe his career is over.

Looks awesome. Not sure about it being a big hit. Has any adult animated film ever done really good? Will Beavis and Butthead's 20 year record fall?

Are you implying that B&B was an adult film when it was only PG-13? You probably mean South Park since it holds the record for an R rated animated film.

Re: Sausage Party Predictions
It was PG-13 sure, but it's not like any kids under 13 saw it. Either way anything over 50 would be good for it. Beavis adjusted is way too high.

Trailer is hilarious and I think South Park - Bigger, Longer and Uncut unajusted is a good benchmark for this. I can't see more than $50-$60M total even if it gets great WOM among general audiences. Ted is the only recent high concept comedy I can think of that truly EXPLODED and it definitely won't be as appealing as that. It doesn't even look as appealing as any of their other movies, so Sony should be satisfied with anything over $50M.

I liked the trailer. It won't do much but the concept is still great.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were a surprise hit.

Looks creatively and surprisingly hilarious. Calling it now: $150m total.

This is not Deadpool though . If this does 100 million, which isn't impossible, it would be an amazing success considering it's an R rated animated film.

Agreed. Deadpool's success doesn't mean every R-rated movie will over-perform. Deadpool also had a great marketing campaign. I highly doubt a lot of people are aware of an R-rated animated movie called Sausage Party.

Hence why I'm not predicting $340m. But $150m is more than achievable.

What Deadpool [should] tells you is that adults need adult humour.

Re: Sausage Party Predictions
So-ooo I sort of feel like this will be pretty big. Early reviews have been good, trailers have been funny, and in a sea of animated family fare this sets itself apart by being aimed at a different crowd.
I think this will easily make $150 million and could cross $200 million as well if the early positive buzz persists.

I could see 25-30 opening now. Legs might pull it to 100. Can't wait. Such a shit summer for comedies.
