Not in. It'll probably be close but I don't see it doing that much more than Civil War. I'll predict a 415-425 finish. |

I'm in. I think this not being more of "Captain America and pals" will work in its favour, and the last teaser was awesome. |

This series. These characters. The soundtrack. The jokes. All much more liked than Age of Ultron, and that made $459m. Guardians Vol. 2 making $450m is a formality. Obviously I was joking with "more than $600m" (though I did choose it in the poll), but really I wouldn't be surprised if it did it. publicenemy#1 wrote: I'll predict a 415-425 finish. lol. You might as well just be in if you're predicting $425m. Rev wrote: ![]() ![]() |

In. I feel this has much more freshness factor than Civil War. |

I think Marvel has a limit outside of their team ups. $450 would smash that limit. So... I think $400 mil is a good target. |

MATRIX RELOADED jumped 64 % from $171m to $281m (inflation adjusted +38 % from $304m to $420m) I do believe that GOTG is similarly beloved and GOTG2 only has to jump 35 % to reach $450m... |

No, but I think it's possible if the movie is received even better than the first. |

As crazy as it might seem I could see this happening. Going by the immense reception so far I think this is a sequel that could play a lot more like Pirates 2 than your typical MCU sequel. Civil War didn't attract much of a casual audience which is why it didn't live up to high expectations, but with good WOM and a pretty weak May it wouldn't surprise me. I'm OUT for now though. |

I'm putting the OW at $145 mil (same % jump as Transformers from 1 to 2) If it shares the same multiplier as Pirates 2, then that puts it at $452 mil. I don't think it will quite get there. |
