The questions are fine, though I am wary of including Passengers in any question. There is still no trailer. One might expect Sony to have begun advertising its 120-million-dollar sci-fi film scheduled for release in four months. It is also embroiled in a lawsuit related to Digital Domain. |

Also, let's definitely ignore Rings. I highly doubt it is coming out this October. I voted for: Bad Santa 2 The Birth of a Nation Boo! A Madea Halloween The Light Between Oceans Ouija: Origin of Evil Why Him? and OTHER: Fences and Patriots Day Patriots Day seems an obvious one to me. It is the Boston-bombing drama by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor) with Mark Wahlberg and John Goodman. Paramount is obviously scheduling it to emulate Lone Survivor, American Sniper, and The Revenant. And Fences is Denzel Washington. Granted, not Denzel in Safe House/Equalizer mode (it is a race-relations drama positioned for Oscar contention), but still Denzel. |

Good call - it's highly likely to movie based on that info. |

Not been keeping up to date, but have picked; Light Between Oceans, Space Between Us, Birth of a Nation and Keeping up with the Joneses. David's picks of Fences and Patriots Day sound interesting, would back them too. |

Agreed. Arrival is a MUST. I also think, despite not many votes, we should predict Almost Christmas. I think it will do really well. Perhaps Best Man Holiday numbers. |

To prevent everyone having the same answer for "what will be the highest grossing film not predicted in the total gross section", I'm Not Ashamed must be included in the regular predictions. I'm Not Ashamed on Sunday 8/8/16 = 570,103 (releases in October) Suicide Squad opening day = 646,724 Fault In Our Stars opening day = 556,552 It looking like a breakout early on. |
