let's see if anyone complains that these are too early, again.

Finding Dory - 62-63m 3-day (um... if this is right then this would mean a tiny increase from Thursday, yeesh)
Independence Day: Resurgence - 18-19m
The Shallows - 5
Free State of Jones - 3
Neon Demon - 500k

I'm done with deadline and their early numbers. If Dory does $62 mil I will kill Magnus. Hunt him down, and kill him.

What garbage - no way Dory only increases 10-15%.

All of these seem low. Shallow is gonna have a 26% preview share?

Why? Looks like a movie horror fans would check out first. And this type of movies are a hard sell to mainstream audiences. From $5m Friday it could have $13m OW which would be great for it. Stop believing WOKJ hype.

And yet "we" still haven't learned not to believe only Internet hype. Remember Snakes on a Plane?

Dory's numbers seem really off given how well it's been holding throughout the week, but ID:R and The Shallows could go either way.

Ahh yes, Snakes on a Plane, which blew up 2006 internet and adjusts to about an $18 mil OW...

Oh wait, that's exactly what Shallows is about to make!

Not with $5m Friday. And Snakes was supposed to open with what it ended up in total according to many people back then. It was a huge disappointment. And The Shallows doesn't have even half the hype of it and yet people here still went for $20m+ OW. TS will open in low teens which is great for that movie.

I do not expect particularly strong word-of-mouth for ID42. It is so cheesy, and I believe even a lot of the most undemanding mainstream moviegoers will chafe at how cornball much of it is. And it has this super-abrupt, sequel-baiting ending which will further sour people just as they leave to be polled.

ID:R has been free falling fast on RT. It went from a 50-60% score earlier in the week to damn near BvS territory. The audience rating is dropping like a rock aswell. Hell Free State of Jones has a higher score now and that was getting ripped to pieces at first.

I can't believe those Dory numbers, I mean it's weekdays are definitely boosted because of summer but I don't see it going that low with the numbers it has been posting thus far. Pretty much what I expected for IDR. Shallows number should go up. Jones and TND will crash and burn anyways

Gitesh reported Dory is coming in near $23 million today for low "70s" in its second weekend, so Deadline is likely well off target.

Dory is already making plenty of money, who cares if it "only" makes 65-70 million week 2? The rest of the box office deserves much more mourning.

$23m Friday would mean $75m+ weekend for Dory.

$23m sounds about right for Dory. Its chances of $500m are becoming more likely every day.

Simply horrible for The Neon Demon.

I really don't understand why so many people here predicted Free State of Jones would open bigger than The Shallows.

We also need to talk about the fact that Independence Day is going to open to less than the original did...twenty years ago. Unadjusted. That is crazy.

Jones needed strong reviews. They were going to make or break it. If it had them it would have opened in the teens, IMO.
