Could Batman v Superman be the domestic box-office peak of the DC movie universe for a while?

I mean, unlike The Avengers it already blew its load by having the two biggest superheroes in one film. And I strongly doubt the film will have significantly better WoM than Man of Steel. So Justice League will arrive following two so-so-received Superman flicks. Unless that Wonder Woman movie is utterly amazing (Suicide Squad seems lkess directly connected), I think Justice League could decrease from BvS, making something like $350-400 million in total.

Why do I get the feeling that if the film was good Batman somehow would've received the credit in this sentence? :|

I'll wait until audiences respond to BvS to make an exact prediction, but it's not looking great tbh. I always thought JL would decrease though because the novelty factor is pretty much gone and coming off two not so great movies won't help either.

Changing directors isn't a good idea. It never is. Keep the vision, and don't pander to critics. Fans seem pleased.

It's a big budget superhero blockbuster. If it's not profitable producers won't give a rat's ass about fans.

It'd be really funny if they pulled the film from Snyder five days before production, delayed it, and then gave it to George Miller.

WoM(jury is still out on this one) and critic reception of BvS will undoubtedly cost Justice League lots of millions. Which is why Snyder should be replaced since he hasn't done the job he was hired for. And he will do the same to JL, which won't be salvaged to profitability by marketing team. JL needs good reception and Snyder can't manage that.

I honestly don't know. Seeing The Flash and Aquaman in the film was pretty damn cool though.

That isn't going to happen. Man of Steel is Snyder's first one, not BvS.

Sure, and BATMAN V SUPERMAN is going to make less money than it otherwise would have because of the reaction to MAN OF STEEL.

It will make more money than Man of Steel and more than The Dark Knight, and that's what the studio will see. They couldn't care less about reviews if the franchise box office shows improvement.
