Look like the Sunday drops were mostly around 40%. That caused The Hateful Eight to drop from estimate, while most others increased. |

Avatar had two $30+ mil grossers to compete with that weekend. TFA didn't even have one. |

TFA is running at much higher pace than Avatar. Plus you have to remember that Avatar's weekend still holds the record in terms of weekend total (not adjusting for inflation) so one can easily say which one was difficult. |

Yep the Point Break budget cannot be stressed enough. The trailers also didn't make it look like $100m movie even though the movie has REALLY good backdrops. |
