Was purely based on my rough estimates from last week when posted it initially, now dived into it a little deeper using the most recent numbers, it's definitely looking good to surpass Avatar by then, if not Saturday. |

It will still do $90m this weekend with higher numbers than Avatar. It should do another $8m+ on Monday to take over Avatar's first run though ofcourse it would need another day to reach the re-run total. |

Its Sunday it quite close to Avatar's Sunday so I think it will take Wednesday for this to happen which no one picked again. |

Wednesday definitely if not on Tuesday. it seems to me like it should be able to avg the next 2 days 10 million a day. |

I was never sure this was counting 1st run only or not. By the time I figured it out the poll closed. It is amazing how many of these daily polls none of has picked the right answer as much as we follow the box office. |

Its Sunday is only about $2m ahead of Avatar and that did $8m Monday and $7.3m Tuesday. Why would SW7 do $2m more each day when its Sunday itself is just that big? |

Isn't the 4th the day people can start using free passes, coupons, etc. And discount Tuesdays are much better 6 years later. But that's why I said Wednesday definitely. Especially since it also plays better to older audiences and kids than Avatar did. If I'm wrong it'll probably be near 758 on Tuesday. |

Yeah I am not sure about the passes in the states but I do know that the same would have been applicable to all movies and that a lot of movies see a big decline on the first Monday of the year. Tuesday has been strong but we haven't seen the case as of now with SW7, its not holding better than Avatar Tuesday's. A reasonable projection from $19.4m Sunday (could increase) would be $8.73m Monday (55% drop) and $8.46m Tuesday (3% drop) with about 20% drop on Wednesday. |
