Between Ghostbusters, Huntsman, and Marvel, I think he'll be fine. .

Huge for The Big Short.

Still a staggering PTA for Carol.

This is incredible for The Big Short and it is the kind of film that will still be doing well when it goes wide. $100+ million groser right there.

If the estimates hold, Mockingjay 2 will have spent four weeks at #1. Not bad, but still not hitting $300 million.

Spectre should almost certainly hit $200 million now, but it might not be before January.

Sony also landed a small winner with The Night Before. The opening was underwhelming, but legs have been terrific. Could even reach a 4.5 mulitplier.

Spotlight might actually hit Birdman's numbers even before the Oscar nominations are announced.

If estimates hold Mockingjay Part 2 will be the first film to hold the top spot for four weeks in a row since the first Hunger Games

Neither one had much competition, but I guess it is impressive. So we've had The Martian, Furious 7 and Guardians of the Galaxy hold the top spot four times in the last 18 months, but there were 4 years between when TDK and THG did it. Guess it just goes to show how top heavy movie going has been, with less people checking out the smaller films and instead going to see the biggest films in even larger numbers.

Very poor start for In the Heart of the Sea. There could possibly be as much as a $30M difference in domestic gross between it and Krampus which is just sad. Just think if somebody actually made a Krampus Over In the Heart of the Sea club a few months ago what the reactions could have been ? I'm sure hardly anybody would have joined. Speaking of Krampus considering it supposedly has mixed WOM it held up very well this weekend. Sure that will likely change next week, but it's still going to be quite a little sleeper hit for Universal/Legendary.

This would be fantastic. Especially after its late inclusion on the schedule.

Krampus held terrifically. Sucks it will be obliterated by Star Wars the following weekend but at least it should get to 40 Million.

I can't see mainstream audiences enjoying The Big Short at all.

I wonder how wide The Big Short will open on the 23rd. The TV spot's "everywhere" could mean 400 theatres or 2,500 theatres or...
