That's actually pretty solid in my eyes. I don't think Transcendence is quite the right comparison for this, for many reasons. It can still do $6-8 million with that number today. |

Given that the largest interest in Focus is coming from the over 30 demographic, this is a a solid number. |

Just below After Earth and The Heat. So it could open anywhere from $25-40 mil. |

For a movie with very little young appeal, that seems fairly good for February. $20-25M is certainly on the table. Dunno what Gitesh is thinking with that weird Transcendence comparison. Especially since that opened on Good Friday (i.e. a Thursday would be inflated because some people had the next day off). |

I never expected more than high single digits for it but multiple "analysts" with the various outlets were calling for $12-14M. |

Oculus did $475,000 in Thursday showings on its way to a 12 Million opening. This might be the best comparison. So Lazarus might crack 10 Million, which would be solid for this one, IMO. I expected less. |

Yeah that was a weird comparison to make. Transcendence is a totally different genre. Non-Stop is probably a better comparison, which did 720K in thursday previews. |
