A fourth movie is already planned. They are planning to get Jackie Chan to co-star. All they need to do is not leak the whole fucking movie, make a high-stakes action thriller, cut the comedy, make it R-rated, don't market it exactly the same as all the rest, and get a good acclaimed director....and they'll be back in business.

Or just Dwayne Johnson to save the franchise. The Expendables versus The Rock would surely make $50m opening weekend.

I said IMO . Being online certainly didn't stop Taken from being such a huge hit. Nor did it do much damage to Wolverine, which leaked before it was released and was a higher profile film. Franchise fatigue was setting in. Most of these actors can't anchor a movie on their own to hit status.

Then the second dropped from that and it was inevitable the third would drop from the second.

I always felt like the movie leak was an inside job because those involved knew it was going to disappoint, with box office and with audiences, so it now has an easy scapegoat to explain why it did poorly.
