 Transformers: Age of Extinction Interational I am surprised there is no thread for this. I am thinking this will drop in OS as 3d is weaker in several markets plus it should drop in developed markets. China will increase big( 200M+ for sure). But not sure about Russia or Latin America. we have OD numbers for korea TF4 463,915TF3 551,538 OW 3.36M (5-DAY) TF2 478,546 OW 2.99M (5-DAY) TF1 306,678 OW 1.90M (4-DAY) from RTH on Aussie OD Quote: AUS Wed OD is at bottom end of Wednesday openings #13 its about 50% of T2/T3 wed openings which both did same business on Wed (T3 school hols). 3rd biggest OD 2014, behind TASM2, DOFP and just above Godz

Re: Transformers: Age of Extinction Interational To see it "struggling" in some major markets currently is really surprising to me. I really expected it to reach $800 million without much effort honestly. Shrek 4 and Pirates 4 still managed to increase overseas, afterall, especially Pirates.
I'm also surprised, a bit, that reviews are so terrible. It might end up below 10% on RT. I know it's the fourth in the series, and the series isn't known for good reviews, but changing the cast and story a bit would have pleased some I thought.

I keep forgetting that DOTM/TA were only released a year apart and both being such HUGE hits internationally has probably exhausted the audience for these movies quite a bit.

Re: Transformers: Age of Extinction Interational RTH is predicting 8-9M OW for TF4 in australia. That is like 45% drop from TF3. I am thinking 30-50% drops in developed markets on average. China is not going to make up for the difference.
BTW china midnights are looking at 25-30M Yuan. Previous record is 12M yuan for IM3. it was huge as expected. IM3 OD was 121M Yuan.

I think this will be the case with all Asian markets, to be honest, bar Sud Korea.

Anyway China is one market which is headed for a record. It appears WOM is not great and it is expected to gross only 9x of its OD. So 150M Yuan will translate to 1.35B which is lower than Avatar.
