Strong for Maleficent. If it stays above 5 million tomorrow, it should get at least a 9 million second Friday, which would mean a second weekend just over 30 million.

X3 made 51 from this day on. Even if DOFP does worst (Looks like it'll start doing better this weekend in addition to the dailies, were looking at 222 million. Hoping for 225 finish.

If Maleficent can stay above 5 today, should be able to hit 30 for the weekend. Depends on how strong its saturday will be

It looks to me like it will do 5.3 today, 9 million friday, 13 million saturday and 10 million sunday for a 32-34 million weekend

Maleficent is having strong weekdays but then again X-Men also did quite strong last week. I am still not sold at $30m weekend.

X-Men is doing fine as well it should cross Godzilla's total this weekend even though it opened two weeks later and a bit lesser than that.

Being a family is the only reason I believe its Friday increase won't be that high since kids are already out of school.

That's what I heard in one of the posts in the weekend thread (possibly Magnus?) so I just assumed that is true. From last few years the big summer weekdays started around this time as well.

Not all kids are out, but around half are already out in the first week of June. The schools around here have their last day today. Colleges have been our at least a week already.

Not in the northeast, one of the worst winters in a while. Well not really bad but so any storms, none of our schools until the first week in July. That's even worse than Sandy

For the quoted dates, are we defining "kids" as grade school kids, high school kids, or college age kids?

We were primarily talking about Maleficent numbers above in relation to weekdays.

Kids on the west coast have been out for a week or two already. They always get out early because they go back to school in August, not September.
