Frozen will win this easily. Its going to atleast double Planes which should be second from the list

Frozen will win? You dont say. :-D
How about: Frozen will make more than Free Birds, Cloudy 2 and Planes combined?

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
It could but to be honest I am not yet sure. The marketing on this one is not that great as compared to say Walking With Dinosaurs which could do REALLY well, dinosaurs are always VERY famous among families. I believe that could take away families and holiday legs from Frozen in OS markets.

To be honest Walking with Dinosaurs looks a bit shitty

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
It does look bad IMO specially compared to Frozen but I was saying about marketing and the concept that will hurt its holiday legs.

Hmm that does not seem to be big unless it was released only in small markets.

Disney AS is not dreamworks OS, I guess it'll make 350m at least though

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
I am sure Disney still has a certain pull in OS markets. Tangled almost made $400m OS so that's a great number, ofcourse they are not as big as Pixar but they can still pull GREAT numbers.

I believe they are good but not RECORD breaking opening for either Germany or Spain. It was released in Singapore as well and it handily lost to THG from what I heard here which was kinda disappointing.

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
If I'm not wrong, I remember Tangled opened with similar numbers in Germany, and ended up having beasty legs to become the second or third biggest film of the year there, someone could correct me, please?

Looks like FROZEN will drop only 2 % in Germany...
After 11 days it's 22 % ahead of TANGLED...

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
What do the German people love? If there was a film released, and you just know it's going to do well in Germany, what would that film consist of?
It always fascinates me how some countries have a certain type of film that always do well. Like, with the Chinese it would be mega-effects, robot movies or Fengxiaogang comedies. With the British, it's Brit rom-coms. With the Japs, it's anime franchises or anything by Myazaki. What's the German deal? I really have no idea..

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
Who doesn't! And does every comedy in Germany do well? Look at Last Vegas' total, I'm not so sure they do love comedies..
There must be another niche that only German's love to death.

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
Great for Cloudy reaching $100m mark. Frozen is doing fine, hope it gets better and better but somehow the marketing really failed for it to get bigger opening IMO specially for a Disney princess movie.

Re: Frozen Cloudy Free Birds & Planes (INTL)
Yes I know that but do you think it would open big in most of the markets? I believe the didn't make use of the songs and classic Disney elements that this movie offers or the princess angle too much in marketing that could have attracted much more audience.
