Perhaps, but that's still an extra segment of audience that'll be interested in seeing the movie come OW that wouldn't normally be interested in children's films. Being over a month since HT opened (And only one other family film released in that time) will certainly help it. At this point I'd honestly be surprised by a sub-$50 million opening.

And since movie theatres tend to be in urban centers, chances are the power will be restored there before it is to outlying suburban and rural areas.

Yeah, so long as it's done storming by Thursday I think the effect on the weekend box office will be minimal. Actually, if this Sunday is depressed by the storm we could see stronger holds from the holdovers.
