Re: November 16-18 Predictions
Even though I'm predicting 141 for Twilight, is there really much buzz for this? It seems Skyfall had much more buzz going for it. Then again it is Twilight and I'm not in a place filled with the 12-18 female demographic.

Re: November 16-18 Predictions
I don't see a massive increase over the previous entries despite being the final film. Unlike Harry Potter, where most of the great stuff was saved for the second half, most of the awesome stuff here seemed to happen in the first half (The Wedding and the Birth). heck, a smaller opening than Part I wouldn't surprise me. I do wonder if the affair took some of the wind out of the fandom...anyway.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II - $135 million Lincoln - $17.8 million
Silver Linings Playbook - $66,000 PTA Anna Karenina - $28,000 PTA
Skyfall -48% Wreck-It Ralph -38% Flight -40%

November just keeps getting better. Next week, the Twilight saga finally ends and hopefully leaves the pop culture forefront forever. Buh bye.

Re: November 16-18 Predictions
$145M tops. It is the final movie, but there is no room for this franchise to expand and it does not add 3d like the last Potter. No way it gets to $150M.

Re: November 16-18 Predictions
If it grosses 146 million, will you eat your shoe in a YouTube video?

Re: November 16-18 Predictions
I'll be honest in that this seems significantly less hyped than the others. Granted, I'm a 27-year-old male, but I could feel heat around the previous films that isn't apparent here.
I don't know what the hook is. Potter jumped, but beyond 'the final chapter,' that had 3D and the Battle of Hogwarts, something that had been built up for years. What does Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 have other than being the last one?

Re: November 16-18 Predictions
I wonder how strong Silver Linings Playbook's per-theatre average will be.

Re: November 16-18 Predictions
I don't sense much anticipation, but the fans will definitely show up. The general consensus, IMO, is "yeah... I'm over it, but I'm seeing it when it comes out ASAP anyway."
