Looks great, huge marketing, and best news?

Adele KILLS the new song. LOOK OUT.

120/300

This is going to be the definitive Bond for the new generation of viewers. Bond mania is coming.

You do realize that none of the Bond movies EVER broke $200m?

yes. Die another day inflates to over 200m, and the older ones translate to like 500m, though.

No Bond film after the 1960s made $300 million even adjusted for inflation!

Silly me that I am even trying to argue this.

Yeah, inflation doesn't really matter here. Ticket sales aren't what they're used to be either.

Actually, I agree with Excel's spirit - I think that SKYFALL will be the biggest 007 in decades - something between $230m-$300m which would make it the 4th biggest Bond ever (adjusted).
In Germany I expect the most admissions since 1977...

As crazy as it sounds, I'm in. Not because I'm sure it will hit 300M, but because I like the name, the theme (Adele DOES nail it), and I just have a gut feeling on this one. I think it will do 200M regardless of quality, but if it's anywhere near as good as Casino Royale, 300M is definitely in play. Adele's popularity could help quite a bit as well, especially for the legs of the film. It will open very big, then play great as counter-programming week 2 vs. Twilight, and continue strong until The Hobbit. Then it will get the holiday boost.

I feel like the Bond films are always over-predicted.

How the hell will adele make a difference for this film? She's hardly huge in the key demographic for Bond movies, and since when do people decide to go to movies based on who's performing the theme song? At most she might affect it 5m worth, at absolute max.
I still don't see why this movie will make it past 200m, this club is fanboy nonsense. As per usual with excel

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.
