I'm curious to see the daily breakdown, but that would be an excellent hold for TDKR, all things considered.

All things considered, that's a decent expansion for Intouchables, though it probably won't go much farther unless it has a great hold next weekend. Though it's nowhere near the smash it's been in other countries, it's definitely had an impressive run for a foreign language film here, especially one with rather mediocre reviews.

Weak sauce. Batman has brought shame upon his dojo.

No weekend international numbers yet, but Batman made $27.4M in 57 overseas markets on Friday.

Needs to keep a 28m buffer on Dead Man's Chest in order to hit 450. It gained 2m this weekend for a lead of 30m.

DMC's upcoming weekend holds (35, 20, 11) should all be in TDKR's ballpark.

Great numbers for TDKR. That Saturday surge could be a result of WOM finally kicking in. I hope it sticks and as of now $450M is definitely still possible. The drops from here on out should be more normal even with the heavy competition in August. Only Bourne and TE2 seem to pose the most threat though.

Pretty embarrassing for The Watch. Wonder if Campaign will open over 30 with no real competition.

Good holdovers, but two July openers opening to under $13 m is not a good sign for the rest of the summer. Total Recall doesn't look to change things much.

Huge Sat increase for TDKR. Better than TDK and Inception. :whaa:

It's the weak product though. Next weekend gets slightly better I think, but there are certainly no tentpoles left. Unless you count The Bourne Legacy but I don't see that doing much more than 100 Mil.

The Watch debuted even lower than The Change-Up last year. That is just a bad scene.

Post subject:  Re: Weekend Estimates

What does everyone think of Ruby Sparks debut? Looks like $4m-5m at best, unless it does better on expansion. 11k in 13 theaters is kind of weak for this type of rollout. It doesn't have the star power/name recognition of Little Miss Sunshine, nor as good a critical reception. I thought it would have a run similar to Garden State and (500) Days of Summer, but that looks way too optimistic at the moment.

Lately when recent R-rated star-powered comedies fail, they fail hard.

I wonder have NEVER thought this was possible, but comedies that opened higher than The Watch and That's My Boy:

Hall Pass
The Heartbreak Kid
Good Luck Chuck
The Change-Up (like Libs mentioned)
